Thalapathy Vijay leaving film career to join politics, last film announced
Tamil superstar Thalapathy Vijay is preparing to quit his film career to focus on his journey into politics. In this regard, his film production company KVN Production has announced 'Thalapati 69' as his last film.
It is said that Vijay will be seen fighting for democracy in this film. A post shared by the film's team on social media includes scenes from Vijay's hit film.
Sharing this, the producer wrote, “We are happy to announce that it is our Tamil film like Chad. Love for Thalapathy. We have grown up watching your films and you have been a part of every step of our lives. Thank you for entertaining us for over 30 years.”
'Thalapati 69' will release in October 2025. According to Indian media, after the release of this film, Vijay will take a break from films and focus on politics.
Vijay launched his political party 'Tamilaga Vetri Kazhagam' on February 2 this year. It means Tamil Nadu Victory Party in Hindi. It is believed that he will contest the assembly elections of 2026. While launching the party in February, Vijay had said that he would not support any other party. He said that he will serve the people of Tamil Nadu through the party.
Vijay made his debut as a lead actor in the film 'Nalaiya Therapu' in 1992. He became one of the biggest stars of Tamil cinema. Vijay, who has worked in 68 films so far, has given blockbuster hits like 'Master' and 'Theri' in his career.
